Best of Sea Restaurant Promotion Contest Rules
The contest is open to all residents of Prince Edward Island age 19 years and older except directors, officers and employees of the Government of PEI’s Department of Agriculture and Fisheries. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Any and all disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws and in the courts of the Province of PEI. Should there be a conflict between the PEI laws and any other laws, the conflict shall be resolved in favour of the PEI laws. No purchase is necessary.
All contest winners will be notified via Email as well as announced on Best of Sea social media. Prizes are to be collected at The Guardian (165 Prince Street, Charlottetown, PEI), during regular business hours (Mon – Fri) unless otherwise stated.
All prizes will be drawn for on or before June 30, 2016. All prizes must be collected before August 1, 2016 otherwise the prize will be forfeited – no extensions will be permitted. Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged, transferred or converted.
The PEI Department of Agriculture and Fisheries assumes no responsibility or liability for damages, losses or injury that may result from the acceptance or use of prize.
‘VOTE FOR BEST OF SEA’ PRIZES TO BE WON
Entries can be submitted at www.bestofsea.com by clicking on the icon that says ‘Vote’, and by choosing a dish in each listed category.
Entrants have a chance of winning one prize per entry, of which the prize may include: One (1) $50.00 PEI restaurant gift certificate or (1) Grand Prize Seafood Dinner for Six People. Prize does not include any fees, charges, taxes, gratuities, insurances, or personal expenses other than those costs/value or benefits described above.
The number of prizes will be dictated by the final number of participating restaurants. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received by the contest deadline. There are no limitations on the number of entries submitted by an entrant. The prize winners will be selected via a random draw of entrants. Non-compliance with any entry procedure may result in disqualification.
Winners will be notified via Email as well as on Best of Sea social media. See ‘PRIZE REDEMPTION’ section for more details on redemption.

The PEI Department of Agriculture and Fisheries will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed, or items one may come in contact with, during any food preparation in conjunction with the Best of Sea promotion.
The PEI Department of Agriculture and Fisheries will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed, or items one may come in contact with, as a result of being awarded a Best of Sea prize restaurant $50.00 gift certificate or the grand prize Seafood Dinner for Six People.

By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use, without payment or compensation, of their names for publicity purposes in all media carried out by Best of Sea.
The PEI Department of Agriculture and Fisheries cannot be held responsible for entries that are lost or delayed during submission. The PEI Department of Agriculture and Fisheries is not responsible for any failure of the website during this contest. Nor are they responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software or any e-mail, online or internet entry lost due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.
The PEI Department of Agriculture and Fisheries reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at their discretion. Decisions of the PEI Department of Agriculture and Fisheries will be final on all aspects of the contest, including matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment. This contest shall be subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.
